Loftie · Henry
Every other AI wants more of your attention.
Henry wants less.
Henry lives in the Loftie app. He notices when you were up until two, he asks you about it, and he keeps the app quiet enough that there is nothing in it to fall into.

Who Henry is
In 1845 a man named Henry David Thoreau moved into a one-room cabin at Walden Pond that measured ten feet by fifteen, to find out how little he actually needed.
He wrote: “Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity… our life is frittered away by detail.”
He never saw a phone. We named ours after him anyway.
What he actually does
One
He writes to you.
Not a notification. A letter, in the morning, about the night before — and it is about your evening, not a template.
You put it down at 2:40. You would not have handed three hours and forty minutes to a friend who asked for them. Somebody did ask. You just never noticed being asked.
Two
He keeps it quiet.
The app shows you the few things that matter this week and puts the rest away. Nothing is deleted — ask for it and it comes straight back. Being shown less is the feature, not a shortage.
Three
He answers.
Ask him why you are tired, what your week actually looked like, which nights you slept best and what you did differently. He has your clock, your schedule and your own words to go on, and he has read every one of them.
Why Henry costs money
Free AI
You are the input.
Your conversations train the model. Your attention is the product and it is sold onward. The better it gets at holding you there, the better it is doing its job.
Henry · $9.99 a month
You are the customer.
That is the entire difference. Henry's job is to get you off your phone, which is a strange thing to build unless the person paying for it is you.
We are a small, family-owned company that makes alarm clocks. We do not sell your data, because we have not got anybody to sell it to.
What is free, and what is not
Free
Rest — app blocking you set on a schedule, before the evening starts.
Flip — a home screen with five apps on it and nothing else.

Henry — the one who notices, writes to you, and keeps the rest of it quiet. Thirty days free.
You never need Henry to use any of the rest of it. That is deliberate.
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately.”
