Do I have to use the app?

You'll need to use the app for the initial setup. After that, it is entirely up to you! All the features available on the app are accessible on the clock as well. The app is available for both iPhone and Android devices.

Does the clock need to be connected to WiFi?

The Loftie Clock requires Wi-Fi for initial setup and software updates. Once the clock is updated and shows the correct time, you can enable No Wi-Fi Mode to enjoy full functionality without a Wi-Fi connection.

Does the clock need to be plugged in?

Yes. The Loftie Clock does have a back-up battery, but it should stay plugged in. If unplugged, the Loftie Clock's battery range lasts around 5-7 hours.

Loftie comes with a wall plug and a cloth-wrapped USB-C cable - extra subtle, no plastic-y feel.

Do I need a subscription to use the Clock?

No, you do not need a subscription to use the Loftie Clock. The clock comes preloaded with 100+ original audio tracks, including white noises, nature sounds, wellness tracks, classical music, and more — all accessible without the app.

We also offer Loftie+, an optional app-based add-on for putting your phone down: app blocking with Drift (your phone quiets when you’re near your clock), a nightly Rest schedule, screen-time challenges, and the Loftie Card. Everything else — your alarms, 100+ sounds, the content library, Storymaker, and wind-down routines — is free, no subscription required. Learn more here.

Is the Loftie Clock a sunrise alarm?

The Loftie Clock is not a sunrise alarm. However, the night light of the clock can be set to turn on with your alarms. If you're interested in a sunrise alarm, check out the Loftie Lamp for a light based wake up.

How loud and bright is the clock?

Both the brightness and volume can be adjusted, from almost nothing to quite loud and bright.

The Clock display has complete black-out mode with no light leakage, for a completely dark sleeping space.

A chronic sleeper’s dream!
I have chronic sleep apnea and all the alarms I have used until I found the Loftie clock were a rude awakening. I wake up to the sound of raindrops and the light brightens gradually like the sun coming up. I was worried I wouldn’t hear the alarm without the nasty buzzing but I was pleasantly surprised to be woken every morning just a few minutes earlier than normal. All those things that I’ve been trying to fit in before I leave for work are now possible since I wake up ready the go. That’s Loftie!

Fantastic alarm clock
I’d been using my iPhone as an alarm clock charging by my bedside, but I frequently found myself reaching for it at night to mindlessly scroll Instagram or whatever else, and my sleep was definitely being affected.
Since buying the Loftie clock, my phone now charges in another room and my sleep has improved considerably.
The two-stage wake-up alarm is genius — the gentle pre-alarm helps you wake up more naturally, and the alarm sounds themselves are really soothing rather than jarring.
I also love the fact that it doubles as a night light, and the screen brightness can be set to adapt to the room or switched off completely.
It also has plenty of pre-programmed background sounds and white noise options to help with sleep if you want them.
Setting alarms is very straightforward via the app as well.
A genuinely thoughtful product that has made a noticeable difference to my sleep routine.

Steven, so glad you made the switch from phone to Loftie! That habit of reaching for the phone at night is such a common sleep disruptor, and it sounds like moving it to another room has really paid off. The two-stage alarm is definitely one of our favorite features — there's something so much better about easing into your day instead of being jolted awake.

Absolutely love this clock
I’ve been using Loftie for several years. It’s changed how I wake in the morning. Love the sleep sounds and maskers. The two phase alarm is genius. And the bedtime reminder is fabulous. The only downside is the inability to change the wake tones for different alarms. I have two, one for weekends and one for weekdays. My brain associates sounds for different days Weekday sounds I know to get up for work. Weekend sounds I can slap the snooze a couple times.
Other than that this clock is perfection. Love it so much I’ve bought three!

Great alarm clock
I was looking for a new alarm clock to integrate without having lots of EMF and more natural way to wake and sleep. I like that is has a red color so it's not so bright and it has multiple sounds to listen to. I integrated it with the rest app. The app and clock haven't been integrating consistently which is frustrating. I think i would have liked the Hatch Alarm better with the light that gets slowly brighter as this just has sound and minimal light which i think would have been better. I like the sound features and the story telling. Overall i do like it but i find it annoying to pay for the rest separately
